The Billboard Music Video Awards were held as part of an annual music video conference. This low-key event featured categories for Contemporary Christian music from 1993 until their conclusion in 2001.

Three years included a music video show category. In each, the award was taken by Tom Green's Lightmusic. 1996 includes a nomination for Best Director to Geoff Moore for his work with Jewel and The Newsboys. Most nominated artists include country singer Billy Gilman, dc Talk, The Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Jennifer Knapp, and Steve Taylor. Chevelle also received multiple nominations, though not in Christian-specific categories.
