The lineage of the magazine begins in 1922 as Wireless Weekly, which in 1939 became Radio and Hobbies. In 1955 the name changed to Radio, Television and Hobbies, and finally settled on Electronics Australia in 1965. In addition to imported albums, artists of local concern are reviewed. Religious music is a fractional part of the totality of reviews (and of the magazine content). Many reviews have other contributors, but in the religious category, most reviews were written by the editor, Neville Williams. Many reviews comment on the quality of the vinyl pressing. Our listings typically follow the original album title, which is sometimes modified for for imports, and in those cases won't match the printed text. Local company Gospel Film Ministry is a distributor for Word Records, with identical numbering to the US releases, and possibly also for other labels.
