Rake, and the Christian music coverage in general, were also subject of feedback in issue #9. Interesting tension is also reflected in the issue's reviews of Nudge Squidfish albums. One album reflects a "mosh of evangelical Christianity" and other elements, where the second reviewer cites the artist as a "disillusioned Christian... throwing in some eastern philosophy for good measure." Overall, the magazine skews heavily toward non-mainstream music, and the portion which is Christian Music (by any definition) is quite fractional. Still, you can find reviews of The Wauhobs, Blackhouse, The Lumpkins Family, and a great number of additional artists of various stripes.
