Sacred Rock's Editor's Page in issue #2 emphasizes that the magazine will be about ministry rather than "the latest thing." According to it's editor, "Sacred Rock promotes any form of Biblically correct Christian ministry." Toward this end, It requires that albums be submitted with a band's doctrine & purpose statement, and that lyrics must include scriptural references.

Also, the magazine apparently distributed via a BBS as early as 1993. Though Issue #2 states an intention to be quarterly, it appears that the zine's final issue was #4, in 1994.
